One Person Escapes From Large Clyde Hill Fire
The fire broke out just before 1 p.m. Wednesday north of downtown Bellevue.

BELLEVUE, WA - A large house fire was burning north of Bellevue Wednesday afternoon. The blaze was sending a thick column of black smoke into the air that could be seen as far away as Seattle.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by approximately 1:19 p.m. There was one person home when the fire broke out, but the person was able to escape without injury.
According to Bellevue fire, the burning home is located along the 2000 block of 89th Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill. That location is just west of Clyde Hill Elementary and Chinook Middle School.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
