Considering a high school in Seattle often starts with a practical question: How will my student get there?
The Downtown School invites you to join us on November 10th from 7:00-8:00 p.m., at an alumni parent’s home for a small gathering with current and alumni Downtown School families from the Eastside. Hear about their students’ commutes, why they chose DTS, and what they’ve come to love about the school. It’s a chance to ask questions and get a parent's perspective on the experience.
DTS is a small, college-prep high school beside Seattle Center where rigorous academics and close relationships with teachers help students become confident, independent learners. Students use the city as a campus, working with local organizations on projects that put their learning into practice. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., leaving time for interests and commitments beyond school.
Choosing a school means considering how it will fit into your family’s daily life. We hope this conversation will help you picture what attending DTS could look like for your student.
RSVP for the Eastside Family Reception Here.
If you can’t make it to the reception, we highly encourage you to visit our Open House on Sunday, November 15, from 1–3 p.m., at 160 John Street. Try sample lessons, meet teachers and current families, and hear from students about their experiences at DTS.
Register here for our Open House. We’d love to meet you.
