Help Refugees In Need: Join Us For A Fundraising Brunch

Close to 2,000 new refugees are resettled in King County every year. Having experienced war, persecution, and torture they flee for their lives with little more than the clothes on their back. They arrive in our community seeking safety and with hope in their hearts.

Learn how you can help families begin to rebuild their lives.

Lutheran Community Services Northwest will talk about their robust programming for refugees and the current needs within the local refugee community. You will also have the opportunity to hear from refugees themselves about their experience.

Margaret Larson from KING-TV will be hosting the event.

For more than twenty five years, Margaret Larson worked as a broadcast journalist, most notably with NBC News as a foreign correspondent based in London, news anchor for the Today show and Dateline NBC reporter, and as a reporter/news anchor at KING-TV in Seattle.
