Italian Country Home and Kitchen Coming to Bellevue
The Italian import specialty shop is moving to Bellevue at the end of May.
Roderick and Francesca Carmichael, owners of , have decided to relocate their family business to Bellevue at the end of May.
The shop's new address will be at 1811 130th Ave. N.E., Bellevue, WA 98005. The phone will remain 425-486-8676.
The couple said the move was necessary for their business growth. The business is in the Apple Village Farm retail center in Woodinville’s Tourist District. Predominantly surrounded by wineries, the Carmichaels said they are not getting enough foot traffic to keep the store in its current location. Additionally, Roderick said there has been a lack of support from the city for businesses other than wine tasting rooms.

While they may be changing locations, the line of handcrafted linens, ceramics, cookware, flatware and paper goods they sell will not change. Linens – everything from dishtowels and aprons to tablecloths and napkins – are the shop’s best sellers. They carry traditional jacquards, in a range of colors and patterns, from a small family business in Tuscany. The store’s specialty, however, is its line of wood-block print linens made by the Bertozzi family of the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. The goods are so popular that the Carmichaels also sell them online, and at home shows throughout the country.
