Kids Pointing 'Rifle' At Lake Hills Boulevard Cause Scare
Someone called 911 to report a rifle being pointed at the road. Bellevue police found something different at the scene.

BELLEVUE, WA - They didn't shoot an eye out, but they did shoot themselves in the foot.
Police confiscated an Airsoft rifle from a group of kids playing in their backyard last Monday, according to Bellevue police. Someone had called 911 because the boys were aiming at a target in front of Lake Hills Boulevard - so it looked like they were aiming at cars driving on the busy street.
The father of one of the boys asked Bellevue police to take the Airsoft rifle "for safekeeping," according to the police blotter. Police did not pursue any charges.

Many Airsoft models resemble real rifles and handguns, even if they only shoot pellets or BBs. That has caused trouble for young Airsoft owners in the past. Just last week, a high school in Sherwood, Ore., was placed on lockdown after a student was seen with an Airsoft handgun.
