Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisors (SHIBA)
is a free, unbiased and confidential counseling service of the WA State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC). We're statewide network of trained volunteers who assist and advocate for consumers about Medicare, health care coverage, health insurance, and access to health care and prescription drugs. This impartial counseling resource helps consumers understand their rights and options, learn about private insurance, government programs and many other health care related topics.
Our volunteers answer questions, make referrals and compare policies, and more. We offer individual and group help statewide.
