Macy's Closing 68 Stores; 2 In Washington

The closures will result in 160 job losses in the state.

BELLEVUE, WA - Macy's will close 68 of its 730 stores nationwide, the retailer announced Wednesday, and two of those stores are located in Washington.

Macy's announced in August that it would close up to 100 stores, but at the time did not name specific locations. The store closings will result in about 3,600 in-store job losses nationwide. Over 160 retail jobs will be lost in Washington

  • Everett Mall, Everett, WA (133,000 square feet; opened in 1977; 109 associates
  • Three Rivers, Kelso, WA (51,000 square feet; opened in 1987; 57 associates)
