Nude Man Tells Police He's 'Too Hot' To Wear Clothes
It's been a record hot summer in the Puget Sound region, but that wasn't enough to prevent this naked man from going to jail.

BELLEVUE, WA — Well, you can't say say he's wrong. A man found naked — except for his shoes — walking down a Bellevue street recently told the police who stopped him that he was "too hot" to wear clothes. On Wednesday, the local National Weather Service reported that the region had experienced the 63rd consecutive day where temperatures have been above 70 degrees, the third warmest July and August here on record.
Even if it is hot out, stripping down to your birthday suit is technically illegal. Multiple citizens called to report the naked man, and Bellevue police took him to jail on suspicion of exposure. The incident happened around 11 p.m. near the intersection of 140th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 20th Street on Aug. 22.
There's also some evidence that high temperatures don't necessarily cause public nudity.

On Jan. 27 at 3:30 a.m., two Redmond officers saw a nude man jogging at the Microsoft campus at 15320 Northeast 40th St. He was also only wearing a pair of running shoes. He told police that he was jogging nude to build up his immune system.
Since no one was around to witness his nudity, he was released after being allowed to warm up in a police car.
