Today’s children are far less likely than their parents’ generation to play outdoors, climb trees, and walk to school. Possible risks of “nature deficit disorder” include vitamin D deficiency, nearsightedness, obesity, asthma, allergies, ADHD and depression. How do we prevent it? Lots of free, unstructured play outdoors!
