Suspect In Newcastle Shooting Found Dead: KCPO
The shooting happened at a Coal Creek Parkway apartment complex on Thursday afternoon.
NEWCASTLE, WA — A bystander was shot Thursday afternoon in Newcastle during a domestic dispute between a man and a woman, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. The 18-year-old suspect was later found dead of an apparent suicide.
The man and woman were fighting in an apartment along the 7300 block of Coal Creek Parkway Southeast. The man fired a gun, which went through a barrier into the next door apartment, hitting the neighbor.
The neighbor who was shot sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office. The shooting happened near the intersection of Newcastle Way in the main shopping area.
