Puget Sound Ranked Least Fat Place In U.S.

BELLEVUE, WA - Fun fact: a "Seattle style" hot dog is a hot dog topped with cream cheese.

Despite that extremely high-calorie local treat, the Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma area has come in last on a new list of the 100 fattest cities in America.

The personal finance website WalletHub released the list on Wednesday based on government data on obesity, health problems associated with weight, and environmental health. The list only looks at the 100 most populated cities in the U.S., so it's possible that there are leaner areas out there.

The top 10 fattest areas in the U.S. were all in the South, with the fattest being Jackson, Miss. That city ranked No. 1 overall for weight-related health problems. Although Seattle was last on the list, Portland was close behind at No. 99; also, they outranked us on environmental health.

So, congratulations, Puget Sound. Maybe today you can have a cheat day and have a hot dog topped with cream cheese after you finish climbing Mt. Si.
