Seahawks 12th Man is Work of Art

There are fans, then there are fans. When it comes to the Seahawks, none are noisier than their 12th Man. However, this one is different. He's wearing the right number, 12. He's wearing the right colors. But he's silent as a spring. And he's as fragile as a window pane. That's because this 12th Man is one of a kind. He's made of stained glass.
Created by artist Shelley Sobel, the stained glass 12th Man is enjoying being the center of attention this week at Pacific Regent, Bellevue, home of his creator. Before the 2013-14 football season began, Sobel and his neighbors were inspired to be addressed by former Seahawks quarterback Jim Zorn. They even took turns throwing spirals, after receiving tips from Zorn. Forget about no ball in the house. When you're retired, you make the rules.
You can bet the whole house is fired up after the Hawks beat the Saints 23-15 last Saturday. You could hear them cheering all the way at CenturyLink Field. If you drive by 919 109th Avenue NE, you're sure to see the 12th Man flag flying high when the Seahawks take on the 49ers this weekend. Go Hawks!
