Snap Skout Announces Partnership with Bonneville Seattle to Launch Product on MyNorthwest.com and 710 ESPN Seattle
Snap Skout, a media technology startup that automatically surfaces highly-relevant offers and deals to readers through its content-driven recommended offers engine, today announced a new partnership with Bonneville Seattle Corporation, owner of KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, 710 ESPN Seattle, AM 770 KTTH and MyNorthwest.com. As part of the partnership, Bonneville agreed to install the “Skout” button across heavily-trafficked sections of MyNorthwest.com, including 710 ESPN Seattle sports section. After reading an article on MyNorthwest.com, sports-enthusiasts can mouse-over the “Skout” button, located in the social sharebar, to uncover deals and offers related to the content in the article.
Since 710 ESPN Seattle is the play-by-play home for the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners and Washington State Cougars, the “Skout” button frequently displays offers to purchase discounted game tickets, team merchandise and food and drink offers from local sports bars. For readers, using “Skout” to find sports-related deals saves time and also helps readers discover new products and places.

“We look forward to evaluating how our readers engage with Snap Skout. We’re especially interested to see what types of deals and offers are most popular with our readers, and how this translates into a new revenue opportunity for us,” comments James Bottorff, Director of Digital Media at Bonneville Seattle.

Snap Skout ensures high-quality offers by only partnering with the best deal networks and advertisers such as Groupon, LivingSocial, Amazon Local and Gilt. Due to a combination of quality, placement and timing, offers delivered through Skout are ten times more likely to get clicked, when compared to a typical display ad.
“As a sports fanatic, I’m excited to partner with MyNorthwest.com to bring readers deals and offers that they actually find interesting and relevant. For example, if there’s an article about the Seahawks, our product may surface a deal on a Seahawks t-shirt, an offer for a sports-bar around CenturyLink Field and a discount on season tickets, all in one place. Saving readers’ time and offering them something valuable is what makes our product unique,” states Snap Skout’s Co-Founder and CEO Aaron Goodin.
