Speed Reduction Proposed For Street Near Bellevue

King County is accepting comments from the public on the proposal.

BELLEVUE, WA - The speed limit along a stretch of roadway between Bellevue and Issaquah in unincorporated King County could be reduced soon. King County wants to reduce speed along Southeast 60th Street from 35 to 30 MPH.

The speed reduction would only affect a .6-mile stretch of Southeast 60th between approximately 178th Court Southeast and 189th Avenue Southeast. The speed limit along the Bellevue section of Southeast 60th is already set at 30 MPH.

The change could happen as soon as the end of 2018. The county is accepting public comment about the change through Nov. 27. If you have feedback, contact Community Relations Planner Brent Champaco at (206) 477-9094 or brent.champaco@kingcounty.gov
