Structure Fire In Bellevue Closes Lake Sammamish Parkway; Family Escapes

The fire was reported Monday just before noon.

BELLEVUE, WA - Bellevue firefighters were responding Monday morning to a fire in a home along West Lake Sammamish Parkway. The structure fire was located along the 3900 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, which is at the bottom of the lake northwest of Timberlake Park. Drivers should expect temporary closures in the area due to the emergency response, according to the fire department.

The fire was first reported around 11:40 a.m. Monday, and the fire department had the fire knocked down just before noon.

The home was badly damaged in the fire, but everyone inside made it out safely, according to the department. No one was injured in the fire.

Lake Sammamish Parkway was closed in the area near the fire for almost two hours Monday.
