Symetra Employees Give Back in Bellevue during Symetra Week of Service

"As a company, Symetra is committed to making a positive impact in our communities."—Symetra CFO Margaret Meister

Wearing bright blue T-shirts featuring Symetra’s distinctive ‘Swift to Serve’ volunteer logo, nearly 500 employees from the company’s Bellevue headquarters took time from their workday last week to give back to community organizations around the Eastside and greater Seattle area as part of the ninth-annual Symetra Week of Service (June 12–16 ).

A Symetra team of 25 headed out to Bellevue LifeSpring, where they collectively contributed 63 volunteer hours to help pack nearly 1,100 breaktime-mealtime boxes that will provide meals for hungry kids when school is out.

“Symetra Week of Service is both a reflection of our employees’ volunteer spirit and a genuine expression of our ‘Swift to Serve’ core value,” said Symetra CFO Margaret Meister, who was among the volunteers participating in the week’s projects. “As a company, Symetra is committed to making a positive impact in our communities. As individuals, our employees are empowered to give back to the causes and organizations that matter to them personally through hands-on service opportunities like this much-anticipated annual program.”
