Bellevue Streets Reopen After Tar Spill
The spill closed a major intersection near SR 520 on Friday morning.
BELLEVUE, WA — A major Bellevue intersection reopened Friday afternoon after a large tar spill.
The spill happened Friday when the tank full of tar tipped over as it was being transported by a pickup truck. The spill shut down the intersection of Northup Way and Bellevue Way just west of I-405 for hours.
Police are looking for a black pickup truck that was hauling the tank. The truck fled the scene of the spill westbound on SR 520, Bellevue police said.
