Thomson Reuters Will Cut 75 Jobs In Bellevue In 2019
The layoffs are expected to come in early 2019, according to the state Employment Security Department.

BELLEVUE, WA - Thomson Reuters has notified the state that the company will cut 58 to 75 jobs in the Bellevue office in early 2019.
According to a WARN (worker adjustment and retraining notification) notification from the state Employment Security Department said that the layoffs would begin on Feb. 19. Thomson Reuters also operates an office in Seattle. The WARN letter indicated that the Bellevue office would close.
Thomson Reuters is an information and research company. On Wednesday, the company announced it would cut 12 percent of its global workforce by 2020. That equals about 3,200 jobs in total.

"Thomson Reuters is routinely looking at ways to run our global business operations more efficiently and effectively," Reuters told CNN on Wednesday. "This disciplined approach sometimes includes the need to make personnel, or other, changes which allow us to balance our internal resources with the needs of our customers in a highly competitive environment."
