Threat Against Newport High School Unfounded: Police
A rumor of a threat against Newport High School was just that, according to Bellevue police.
BELLEVUE, WA - Bellevue police have said that a rumor of a threat to Newport High School is likely not founded. Police have not found a known threat, the department wrote on Twitter Wednesday morning.
The school, located in the Eastgate area, has been the target of threats in the past. In 2015, a 17-year-old was charged with felony harassment for allegedly threatening a shooting.
