Transformer Bursts Into Flames In Medina, Streets Closed [Update]
The incident happened Thursday morning near Medina Park.

Update: As of 8:20 a.m., all roadways were reopened, according to Medina police.
MEDINA, WA - A power transformer caught on fire Thursday morning in Medina, causing the closure of several main streets. Police closed 82nd Avenue Northeast between Northeast 12th and 8th streets. The incident also closed 81st between Northeast 8th and Overlake, which is in front of Medina Elementary.
As of 8 a.m., almost 800 people in Medina were without power due to the fire, according to Puget Sound Energy.
