Victim Dies In Bellevue Condo Fire

One person is dead after a condominium fire in the 3400 block of 161st Court SE.

BELLEVUE, WA - Officials are investigating after a condominium fire Wednesday night left one person dead. The blaze involved a large amount of smoke but didn't spread beyond a single unit in the complex at the 3400 block of 161st Court SE. The victim's body was found in a search after the fire was extinguished.

In a separate incident, a fire at a Bellevue apartment in the 14500 block of Southeast 24th Street late last week also left one dead. Officials determined that improperly discarded smoking materials caused that blaze.
