Violent Crime Spree In Bellevue Ends In 2 Arrests
The crime spree began with a shootout in Burien on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

BELLEVUE, WA - A violent crime spree that began with a shootout in Burien Sunday ended in multiple arrests in Bellevue Sunday night, according to police.
The crime spree began on Sunday when several suspects stole a Toyota Rav4 from a man in Burien. The victim opened fire on the carjackers, and the suspects fired back.
Around 8 p.m. Sunday, Bellevue police were called to the Union 76 gas station along 148th Avenue Southeast on a report of an armed robbery. An employee there told police three men in masks armed with guns robbed him.

About a half hour later, police were called to the Shell gas station along 148th Avenue Southeast for another armed robbery. Again, three masked men were in the store with guns.
But this time, two Bellevue officers were nearby and able to arrive "in seconds," according to police. At the scene, they arrested a 16-year-old from Auburn.

Bellevue police K9 Ghost was brought to the scene to search for the two outstanding suspects. Ghost found - and bit - a 16-year-old from Tacoma hiding in a nearby greenbelt, but the third suspect escaped. Police found the Rav4 nearby.
Police are now working to identify the third outstanding suspect.
