Want Dick's Drive-In? You Can Vote On New Location Of Burger Chain

Dick's Drive-In will open a new location - and you can vote whether it's east or south of Seattle.

BELLEVUE, WA - If you want Dick's Drive-In burgers, you must vote.

The locally famous Seattle-based chain will open a new location, and the company will let fans vote on whether the new location opens up east (think Bellevue, Woodinville, or Redmond) or south (Renton, Kent, Burien) of Seattle.

Five out of the six Dick's locations are in Seattle. The company expanded out of the city for the first time in 2011 with a location in Edmonds. In fact, the Edmonds location was the first new restaurant since the Queen Anne location opened in 1974.

“Five years ago, when the north region won our 2010 poll, we promised our customers that we would continue to expand east and south if our north location was a success,” Jim Spady, President of Dick’s Drive-Ins and son of co-founder and namesake, Dick Spady, said in a press release. “Opening our location in Edmonds was an incredible experience and we’re very happy to ask our customers to again help us decide where we build next!”

The first Dick's opened along 45th Street in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood on Jan. 28, 1954. The menu features classics like fries, cheeseburgers, and hand-whipped milkshakes.
