Windermere Capitol Hill Reaches $54,000 in Charitable Donations
Windermere Capitol Hill takes pride in its community by raising $54,000 in donations for charitable organizations.
Windermere Capitol Hill owner Pat Grimm proudly announced donations to 18 community organizations via the Windermere Foundation. “For the past 27 years, theWindermere Foundation has donated a portion of the proceeds from every home purchased or sold towards supporting low-income and homeless families, and people at risk in our communities,” said Grimm.
In addition to helping the less fortunate, the $54,000 raised by Windermere Real Estate/Capitol Hill to date, has benefitted a diverse range of programs and organizations. Windermere Capitol Hill has donated to Amara, which works to ensure that every child in foster care has the love, support and comfort of a committed family; Babes Network, a peer education and support program for women living with HIV; Capitol Hill Housing, which builds vibrant and engaged communities in Seattle through affordable housing and works to improve the Capitol Hill neighborhood for all; the GD Association, whose purpose is to eliminate homelessness in the area by providing housing for low-income and at-risk teen parent families, the elderly and disabled persons; and many other organizations.
Windermere Real Estate/Capitol Hill furthers its community outreach with an annual Community Service Day when it closes its office for the day to help make a positive difference in the community. This year’s Community Service Day took place on June 3. The Windermere team blanketed the streets of the Capitol Hill neighborhood picking up over 1,500 pounds of trash, which helped beautify one of Seattle’s most dynamic districts.

“We’re continuing a 30-year tradition of community involvement,” said Grimm. “How we show up matters, and we’re hoping others will follow our lead with neighborhood-enhancing projects in the areas where we live, work and play.”
