WSP Trooper Escapes Injury After Car Hits Motorcycle
Washington State Patrol said a trooper was uninjured Tuesday morning after a suspected impaired driver hit a patrol motorcycle on I-405.

BELLEVUE, WA — A driver was arrested on suspicion of impairment Tuesday morning after a trooper's motorcycle was hit during a traffic stop in the Bellevue area, according to Washington State Patrol. WSP said the trooper was on a traffic stop on the left shoulder of northbound Interstate 405, just north of State Route 520, when another driver hit his motorcycle and sent it into the van he had pulled over. Fortunately, officials said no one was injured.

The driver who hit the trooper's bike was booked on suspicion of impaired driving and the left lane remained closed while the investigation continued.
