2 More Small Earthquakes Measured In Bonney Lake

The USGS measured two tiny earthquakes in Bonney Lake last week, which makes four in the city over the last three weeks.

BONNEY LAKE, WA - The U.S. Geological Survey measured two small earthquakes in Bonney Lake last week. That brings the total number of tiny quakes in town to four since the end of March. The earthquakes, however, were so small, it's unlikely that anyone but the earthworms felt them.

Both recent quakes occurred on April 5. The first one struck around 5 a.m. and was centered near 92nd Street east near SR 410. The second quake happened around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Drive East and Main Street East. The first quake was a magnitude 1.5, the second a 1.4, according to the USGS; both were at the shallow depth of about 15 kilometers.

On March 28, two smaller earthquakes were measured in Bonney Lake.
