Amazon Hiring Thousands In Puget Sound For Holiday Season

Amazon is ramping up hiring for the holiday season. Nationwide, the company expects to hire approximately 120,000 people.

SUMNER, WA - Amazon will hire up to 2,000 temporary workers in the Puget Sound area for the holiday season, the company announced Thursday. The local hiring is part of the approximately 120,000 hires Amazon will make across the U.S. for the holidays.

Amazon will hire workers for its fulfillment, sorting, and customer service centers. Although most of the jobs will disappear after the holiday rush, Amazon said that many people who got seasonal jobs last year transitioned into full-time roles.
