
BONNEY LAKE, WA - Police reported that a bear was spotted in the 9800 block of 192nd Ave E. The animal was last seen heading into the woods. The address is nearby to a Walmart.
It's more typical for bears to be spotted in the springtime as they forage for food following hibernation. Bears typically go to population centers looking to eat from bird feeders, fruit trees, and trash. There were 410 bear sightings in the state in 2016.
Bonney Lake Police alerted WDFW regarding the sightings.
