Bonney Lake Barista Attacked At Work Speaks Out
The 30-year-old barista was at work in Kent early Tuesday morning when the attacker broke in and pulled her into an alley.
BONNEY LAKE, WA - The victim of a horrifying attack at a Kent espresso stand early Tuesday morning is a 30-year-old Bonney Lake woman. The attack happened just before 5 a.m. Tuesday when a 33-year-old Kent man climbed inside the Hottie Shots espresso stand and pulled the woman outside
The barista, Madeline Guinto, was making a drink for the man when he climbed inside armed with a knife, according to Kent police. He pulled her into a dark alley near the stand, but another customer arrived and interrupted the attack. The barista was able to get away and call 911.
The 33-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday after someone called in a tip to Washington's Most Wanted.

In an interview with KOMO News, Guinto said she's unsure if she'll return to work - she was robbed at work in October.
Hottie Shots is located off SR 167 near 212th Street in Kent.
