Bonney Lake Councilman Resigns Over Health Issues
Councilman James Rackley has served on the Bonney Lake City Council since 2000. His term is up at the end of 2019.

BONNEY LAKE, WA — Councilman James Rackley resigned from the Bonney Lake City Council on Wednesday, according to city officials, due to "ongoing health issues."
Rackley was first elected in 2000, and his term ends this year. The City Council will appoint an interim replacement until the November election.
"On behalf of the Bonney Lake City Council, we extend our support to Jim and his family. We are grateful for his 20 years of service to council and the community. Jim has played an instrumental role in how Bonney Lake has transformed over the years, and has always represented Bonney Lake with great pride," Mayor Neil Johnson said in a press release.

The city will host a recognition ceremony for Rackley on June 11 at 6 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
