Bonney Lake Girls Tennis: Panthers fall to Peninsula

The Bonney Lake girls tennis team struggled in some close matches, ultimately falling to Peninsula 4-1 on Monday.

Alise McCoy picked up the Panthers lone match win, cruising past Lauren Garrett of Peninsula 6-4, 6-0.

Hannah Hansen of Peninsula got past Bonney Lake's Olivia Ottinger in the other singles match 6-7, 6-0, 6-1.

Peninsula posted a clean sweep in the doubles matches, with two going to a third and final set.

Marie Dennis and Samantha Lee of Peninsula got the best of Kelsey Kober and Laura Miculinich of Bonney Lake in the first doubles match 6-3, 6-7, 6-0.

Olivia Andringa and Nate de Leon of Bonney Lake fell to Lindsee Purnell and Lesley Gutter of Peninsula in the next doubles match 5-7, 6-3, 4-6.

Kaetlen Slocum and Ashley Gibson of Peninsula swept Lauren Balzaretti and Marcy Krupke of Bonney Lake in straight sets in the other doubles match 6-4, 6-2 to secure the victory for Peninsula.
