Bonney Lake Man Involved In Deadly Crash Near Poulsbo
The 32-year-old's semitrailer was hit head-on by a van, according to Washington State Patrol.
POULSBO, WA - A 32-year-old Bonney Lake man was involved in a deadly three-vehicle crash along SR 3 Tuesday morning. The crash happened near Lofall Road north of Poulsbo and closed the SR 3 for almost four hours.
Colby Johannek was heading southbound around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in his semitrailer when a van crossed the center line and hit him head-on. The driver of the van, Douglas Ranney, 65, of Port Angeles, died at the scene. A third vehicle driven by a Bremerton man was hit when Johannek's truck pushed Ranney's van back into the northbound lanes, according to Washington State Patrol.
Both Johannek and the third driver were injured, but were treated and released at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
