Bonney Lake Man Sentenced In Accidental Shooting
Tobin Panton was aiming at a car thief when he shot and killed his neighbor.

BONNEY LAKE, WA - Tobin Panton will serve 8.5 years for shooting and killing his neighbor in 2016, according to KOMO News. Panton was aiming for a car thief in his driveway when he shot his neighbor, Linda Green. The stray bullet that hit her was one of 12-15 shots that Panton fired.
Green, 61, died after the bullet hit her in the head while she was lying in bed at home. The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Nov. 3 along the 12300 block of Prairie Ridge Drive East. Green died on Nov. 4, according to a statement by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
Panton pleaded guilty to the first-degree manslaughter charge in July.
