2011 Chamber Photo Contest Winner Announced
Winner of Chamber's annual Photo Contest announced! Winner Janice Thomas of Bonney Lake wins the prized cover shot of the annual Bonney Lake Business and Community Guide.
We would like to thank all the participants in the 2011 photo contest and congratulate our winner, Janice Thomas of Bonney Lake.
Janice and her husband have lived in the Bonney Lake area since 1980, and lived on Tapps Island for 12 years. They absolutely love it here and feel like they are living in paradise. They are retired General Contractors that built homes in the Lake Tapps/Bonney Lake area for over 25 years.
Janice and her husband are avid waterskiers and have already started waterskiing on April 29th of this year. You can find her on the Lake skiing, wakeboarding or tubing just about every day in the Summer. Her favorite quote is: "Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional".
Her other passion is photography. She especially enjoys photographing nature, wildlife, and water sports. She asked friends to wear a Santa suit and ski, tube and wakeboard on the lake for her to photograph them. Turned a lot of heads ! They even wakeboarded on Christmas Day in the Santa suit & children all over the lake ran to their docks waving at him .
She is very fortunate to wake up, look out the window and witness spectacular sunrises as well as Mt. Rainier...Bonney Lake/Lake Tapps is truly paradise.
