Bonney Lake Vs. Sumner

Suddenly out of the clear blue sky, Bonney Lake has decided that Orton Junction can go through if they give Bonney Lake more sewer capacity. What for?

I don’t know how many people in this city realize the special benefit from blackmail, but I think they all should know what the Bonney Lake Council talked Sumner into doing for the sake of annexation.

Orton Junction has been planned in Sumner for some time. Bonney Lake put a stop to it once and the County said it could happen, so the Bonney Lake Council decided to appeal the decision.

Councilmember Hamilton hammered over the fact that Orton Junction was going to hamper the businesses in Bonney Lake. (Fact is, the only hampering of businesses in Bonney Lake is the City Council, with the traffic impact fees).  Councilmember Hamilton kept right on going like an energizer bunny to stop Orton Junction at all costs and got the council to appeal the decision.

Suddenly out of the clear blue sky, Bonney Lake has decided that Orton Junction can go through if they give Bonney Lake more sewer capacity. What for? Not businesses folks but annexation of residential properties that have not been built yet.

Now in my opinion only, I declare this a special benefit for Blackmail, because Councilmember Hamilton and the rest of the city council really weren’t worried about businesses, now were they?
