The End of Summer

My favorite images from the summer

We waited a longtime for it to arrive. Ice storm, snow in March, rain for month and months, mild to chilly temps as the rest of the country was experiencing record highs - then as fast as it arrived, summer was over.

Today I packed my 1st graders Hello Kitty lunch box and headed off to school as many of you did this morning. In the car I looked at the school house with the sun rising just behind it and wondered, "where the heck did summer go?" Then I looked in my rear-view mirror at that little 1st grader bouncing excitability to run in and meet her girlfriends and thought again, "where did my baby go?"

I spent the summer doing what I love most. Family, friends and photography. I got to shoot some AMAZING fun session this summer with new and old clients. Strawberries, sunsets, grass fields, flags, no shirts-no shoes-no problems. It's one of my favorite times of year to shoot. And all my little returning clients children grew as much as my own. It's always bittersweet to see the kids get older.

Time does go so fast, but photos are forever. Today in my blog I wanted to share some of my favorite summer images from Angie Cox Photography. To see more, stop by and flip through the BLOG at their full sessions or on my Facebook Page.

I hope that you too have some great summer moments that you took photos of over the break. And if you didn't - don't fret fall is coming up next with its majestic colors and hues.
