Today, I was thinking about a new painting and the shows that I want to do and this and that and the other thing, when after looking outside my front door, I noticed my neighbors Magnolia blooming like a beacon in front of the dark forest behind it. Wow! I wrote about seeing the beauty around us each day and boy, was this exactly what I meant.
Do you ever see that color boost affects you that way? While driving later today, I noticed all the different colors of green out there in the Spring, somewhat sunshine. This is one of the works of God that we are not seeing with all the stress and sadness of the world. Give that up. Stop the car. Take a minute. Breathe in the beauty. Bring a candy bar and eat it on the hood of the car, or something simular. These are the things that make our lives a little easier. All joking aside, you will really feel a difference afterwards.
I have a great place on the road by the lake where the owner knew what great view he had of the mountain. He built a pull off area. I stop three out of five times there a week and take a breath and a picture. I just have to remember to set the car in park before I do. The lake is just below.

I encourage everyone to find that view that makes you feel that good. A place where one day you can share it with someone you love. Some, you can keep to yourself until whenever.
I am gonna go now and find another place to sit and this time I'm gonna paint it. Spring is the time for new beginnings. Try a painting in the name of stress relief . Works better than a shrink.
