We Are Family, I Got All My Sisters With Me...

Spending most of my life dancing at Dancemakers Northwest has made it feel like my second home. All the instructors take their time to make sure each student understands that needs to be done by answering any questions and giving any tips/advice they can. Dancemakers is like a second home to me because I've pratically grown up there from when I was two years old to now.

I didn't start hip-hop until i was about six years old and now it is one of my most favorite styles of dance. I am on the Dancemakers 2011-2012 performing group for hip-hop and I still remember the dance we learned last year. One word that comes to mind for me when i think "hip-hop" is freedom.

Growing up with Dancemakers has given me my love for dance. In the near future i plan on applying to the University of Washington, American Musical and Dramatic Academy and Cornish College of the Arts. I want to go to at least one (maybe three) of these colleges to further my dance training to become a professional dancer and/or dance instructor.
