What To Do on a Rainy Day

Hello Washington. I see you are your usual self. Grey. So, I feel like painting. My Momma always said, Make due with what you have. Well, here it goes.

The first color that comes to mind is GREY. Its opposite is orange. Orange, a happy color. So, I am painting an orange fishing boat and a stormy sky. 

Storms are what I miss. No, I am not crazy, just from the South. Many nights we slept through storms that shook the windows. When it thunders here, I am out the door looking. Looking to get hit with lightning, that is. Ha!

This weather causes me to create. I do not want to go outdoors so I spend all day making a mess. I live alone, so the mess stays. Have any of you been there?   Coming to see me means moving something over or off of a chair or sofa.   Generally, there is a lesson or instruction done with everyone who comes to my "Girl Cave."   

One friend of mine comes over to straighten up in exchange for my San Antonio type Tacos. Yummmmmmm.

So, we eat. You must eat on a rainy day. Restaurants are packed on rainy days. Art is created on rainy days and books are read, not to mention all the great Soups and such.   

Well, I've made myself hungry. Must go. Remember Orange when it's grey..
