Father, Son Killed In Apartment Fire In Auburn
The father and 4-year-old were found inside the apartment building on the second floor.

AUBURN, WA - Valley Regional firefighters made a tragic discovery after putting out a fire in an apartment building early Thursday morning: an adult man and his 4-year-old son who had died in the fire. The deadly fire broke out just before midnight Wednesday along O Street north of downtown Auburn. The fire was so large that it required a second alarm.
According to Valley Regional fire, a total of eight people were displaced by the fire, and the Red Cross is assisting them. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is reportedly assisting with the investigation.
Two police officers were first on scene and attempted to enter but were pushed back by heat & smoke.
