Flood Watch, Landslide Warning For King, Pierce Counties
The flood watch will go into effect Tuesday morning for King and Pierce counties, according to the National Weather Service.

SUMNER, WA - A flood watch will go into effect on Tuesday morning for King and Pierce counties as steady rains continue to soak Western Washington.
The National Weather Service is warning of heavy rain in the coming days, including up to 5 inches in the Cascades through Thursday. Runoff could cause problems along local rivers. Minor flooding could occur along the White River near Auburn and the Skokomish River.
According to the Northwest River Forecast Center, the Cedar River in Renton could come close to flood stage on Thursday. The White River at R Street in Auburn, however, could reach flood stage on Wednesday.

Along with flood danger, forecasters are warning of local landslide danger due to saturated soil.
The flood watch will last until Wednesday.
