Girls Tennis: Sumner Sweeps Clover Park

The Sumner High School girls tennis team sweeps past Clover Park without losing a set.

The Sumner girls tennis team swept Clover Park on Monday, winning 5-0 without dropping a single set.

The Panthers were paced by singles victories by Jasmine Babcock and Libby Reum. Babcock downed Ga-Young Jin of Clover Park 6-2,6-4, while Reum took care of Mina An 6-4, 6-3.

Three Sumner doubles pairs eased through their matches, surrendering just a combined five set match points.

Taylor Henken and Kyla Anderson defeated Graciela Meza and Michelle Fernandez of Clover Park 6-0, 6-1.

Karina Brown and Brittany Reid eased past Briena Medina and Alejandra Morales 6-3, 6-1.
