Guilty Plea In Shooting Death Of Bonney Lake Woman: Report
Tobin Panton pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge Monday after allegedly accidentally shooting his neighbor, Linda Green, in 2016.

BONNEY LAKE, WA - A Bonney Lake man has pleaded guilty to a first-degree manslaughter charge in the shooting death of his neighbor in 2016, according to reports. Tobin Panton allegedly shot his neighbor, Linda Green, in 2016 by accident - he was aiming at a car thief who was fleeing from in front of his home.
Green, 61, died after the bullet allegedly fired by Panton hit her in the head while she was lying in bed at home. The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Nov. 3 along the 12300 block of Prairie Ridge Drive East. Green died on Nov. 4, according to a statement by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
The car thief who was the target of Panton's bullet escaped and was not found. Panton will be sentenced on Sept. 8, according to KOMO News.
