Harvest Day at Tehaleh this Saturday
Tehaleh Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Hot Air Balloons, Hay Rides, and Trail Runs

Tehalehβs popular Harvest Day festival returns tomorrow, September 27, and with it, trail runs, food trucks, hot air balloon rides, and free activities for all ages. The event celebrates the second anniversary of the Puget Soundβs top-selling new home community, offering a chance to sample the unique amenities and outdoor lifestyle at Tehaleh.
βHarvest Day is a true slice of Tehaleh life,β said Scott Jones, Vice President and General Manager for Newland Communities. βFrom country wagon rides throughout the community to enjoying the wine and beer garden with a neighbor or friend, itβs a great way to experience what itβs like to be surrounded by community with nature right out your back door.β
Tehaleh Harvest Day will include a wide range of free activities for all ages this Saturday, September 27. The day begins at 7:45 a.m. with runs by Evergreen Trail Runs, including a Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1K Kids Run. Trail runners will enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and a wide variety of the communityβs scenery and terrain including pines, wetlands, alpine meadows and deep forest. Aid stations along the route will be stocked with water and healthy snacks. Blitz, the official mascot of the Seahawks, will be on hand to support runners and give high-fives as they cross the finish line. After the Trail Runs, festivities kick off at 10 a.m. with a community vendor fair, featuring Bonney Lake businesses. Visitors of all ages will be amazed by hot air balloon rides going 50 feet into the air, where the 360-degree view of the mountains and Tehaleh below is sure to be incredible. For those who prefer to stay on the ground, a βgroundedβ balloon will be inflated and tilted on its side, allowing visitors to walk inside for a whole different perspective.
Kids are sure to love having their faces painted and zooming down the giant inflatable slide. Visitors will enjoy hanging out with Blitz at The Post, Tehalehβs community information center and cafΓ©, until noon, and relax with a handcrafted Italian coffee or delicious fruit smoothie from CaffΓ© Dβarte.

Home shoppers will enjoy tours of the 11 models and nine quick move-in homes from five renowned builders - Richmond American Homes, Lennar, Pulte Homes, Quadrant Homes and Trilogy at Tehaleh. Visitors will find a variety of floor plans; designer finishes and can enter to win deluxe prize packages, including a one-night stay at Great Wolf Lodge for a family of four, admission to Maris Farms for a family of four and much more. The grand prize is a Tailgate Football Viewing Party and prime rib breakfast buffet at Midtown Grill where 20 friends can watch the game in style.
From 11 a.m. β 1:30 p.m., budding rock stars can sing karaoke with the eventβs live band, Rock-Bot. After the sing-a-long ends, The Burren Boys from Olympia will entertain the crowd by playing traditional jigs and original tunes on a variety of instruments, sung in both English and Irish, until 4:30 p.m. Visitors can enjoy the music from the Rainier Beer Garden and make connections with neighbors and friends.
Gourmet food trucks offering complimentary fare are sure to satisfy any craving. Stella Fiore Wood Fired Pizza will be serving up slices of their delicious pizza, made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The Contigo food truck will offer their βlife-changing tacosβ, a modern twist on traditional Mexican fare. Visitors should save room for waffle treats on a stick from My Sweet lil Cakes, or build-your-own ice cream sandwiches from the Street Treats dessert truck.
Country wagon hay rides throughout the afternoon will offer an old-fashioned trot through the breathtaking landscapes of Tehaleh, perfect for relaxing, taking in the natural surroundings and soaking up the communityβs close proximity to nature.
At Tehalehβs active adult community for buyers age 55+, Trilogy at Tehaleh, visitors can see model home kitchens in action with a live cooking demonstration from master chef Nicole Aloni. They can also enjoy relaxing on beautiful furniture from Seldenβs Home Furnishings while listening to a WSU Master Gardener share tips and tricks for container gardening.
