Jubilee Naturals, Celebrating Great Health, Naturally
A longtime local resident shares her 20-plus years of experience with us in her new Main Street store, Jubilee Naturals.
Jubilee Naturals is a new, locally owned business that opened in the last spot before the train tracks on the west end of downtown Sumner. Previously inhabited by , , Jubilee Naturals offers 100 percent natural supplements, health and beauty products and some specialty food products.

The store celebrated its grand opening on March 5.
"The other business owners were so great during my grand opening," Ode said. "Many of them stopped by and brought me a little something and a visit. It was nice to feel so welcome."

Ode and her husband, Eric, a children’s songwriter, author and performer, decided on Jan. 3 of this year to open a store. Ode picked the location, completed her legal paperwork and pulled out displays and fixtures from storage; Eric built furniture to fill in the gaps, and after only two months, they were ready for business.
"Being a sole business owner will really put a crimp in my hiking schedule," Ode said. "Hiking is my passion, but I love health and I love helping people. With my own store, I have the freedom to order whatever I want. Health is fun and I want to help people see that. I believe in working with each person individually, and assessing his or her needs. I work with nutrition and food first and then go to supplements. I customize a health plan for each individual based on his or her needs. I am like a health detective."
Ode realizes the importance of building relationships with her customers and wants to help them in the way they need.
"I want to find out what the people in our area want to learn about; whether it be nutrition, exercise, supplements, health and beauty ... I am very resourceful. If I don't know the answer, I will find it."
Jubilee Naturals will be offering educational classes too, once Ode gets a better feel for what Sumner and Bonney Lake want from their new local expert.
