Parents, it couldn’t get better than this! The Kid’s Crush event in Enumclaw on Saturday, October 12th is Studio 54 Furniture and Arts Gallery’s first community collaborative interactive arts workshop for kids.
Pulling together a team of extraordinary writers and painters for the first ever Whiz Kids Make-A-Book Workshop, volunteers from Auburn, Maple Valley, Buckley, Enumclaw and Bonny Lake, members of Plateau Area Writers Association and Arts Alive! Center for the Arts, are dedicated to creating a wonderful experience for children 5 – 12 in the arts classroom. The four one-hour sessions are free, including all the materials, supplies and guidance the children need to make a book, write their stories and illustrate their book. There will be fabrics, yarn, stick-ons, collage materials, colored pens provided as well, and the kid’s leave with their own book at the end of an hour. It is important to sign up now for the classes at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p .m. or 5 p.m. because space is limited to 10 kids per class.
