Have you ever talked with a person who really wants to help people! I like to introduce one person who is truly making a real difference helping others. Courtney Larkins the founder of KNOCKS 4 SOCKS, distributes socks to help homeless street people in Peirce County. Knocks 4 Socks is a organization dedicated to addressing the Homeless by passing out socks. These socks have been collected by asking people for donation of socks.
"Our Mission is to assist the Homeless through offering of a gift compassion and clothes specifically socks!"
Courtney is a Pierce College Student and a Lakewood resident. She and her volunteers go door to door in a community and leave a flyer that tells about Knocks 4 socks, which asks for a minor donation of... you guess it pair of socks. The flyer tells the resident that someone will return in a week pick of the donation.
Then the real work begins. Courtney and her helpers take the socks and finds Homeless person's who need them. "We engage them through the gift of the socks, show compassion and understanding, and give them information as to where they can get help."
