More Threats Target Sumner High School: Report
School was dismissed early on Tuesday due to an emailed threat, but the threats continued throughout the week.

SUMNER, WA - At least two more threats were sent to Sumner High School this week after an initial threat was discovered on Tuesday morning, forcing early dismissal of the school, according to the Tacoma News Tribune. The newspaper reported that the school received two more threats on Wednesday and Thursday. However, city of Sumner spokeswoman Carmen Palmer told the TNT that the threats were not believed to be credible.
Meanwhile, Sumner police are calling in federal authorities to help find the source of the threats, Palmer told the TNT.
On Tuesday morning, a Sumner High School teacher discovered a threat emailed to the school, according to a statement released by the city. School was dismissed at 9:15 a.m. and after-school athletic activities were canceled. However, a search of the school by Sumner police and Pierce County Sheriff's deputies turned up no explosives or other threats, and school resumed as usual on Wednesday.
