Pierce County Deputy Involved In Shooting In Edgewood
The shooting happened after the suspect allegedly drove toward the deputy at a construction site.

EDGEWOOD, WA - A Pierce County Sheriff's deputy opened fire on a truck speeding toward him at an Edgewood construction site early Wednesday morning, according to the sheriff's department. Police do not know if the driver was hit because the vehicle fled the scene.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday along the 10300 block of 20th Street East. The deputy responded on a report of several people stealing equipment from the construction site.
When confronted by police, one of the suspects got into a car and drove toward the officer. The officer, age 53, fired three times at the truck. The other suspect was arrested at the scene.
