Pit Bull Mauls, Kills Therapy Dog
An Auburn woman walking her chihuahua said that a pit bull attacked and killed her dog over the weekend.
AUBURN, WA - An Auburn family's therapy dog was attacked by a pit bull over the weekend and later died from its injuries, according to KOMO News. Paula Golbienko said she was walking her dog, Yoda, when a neighbor's pit bull attacked. It took several minutes to remove Yoda from the pit bull's jaws.
The family took two-year-old dog to the vet, but after seven hours the dog was pronounced dead. The pit bull's owner said the chihuahua is responsible for the incident. Police and animal control are investigating.
The pit bull was allegedly involved in another attack on a dog in 2015. No charges were filed in that case.
